Quarto, pp. xxxii, 381, colour frontis, b/w plates, b/w folded map, marbled endpapers, previous owner's inscriptions, newspaper clipping taped to blank prelims (book review) has caused some offsetting, foxing scattered throughout mainly in margins, edges uncut, top edge gilt, front hinge broken, half vellum cloth bds., stained and marked, minor fishing front bottom edge, small ink stain front board. Good condition.

Includes a translation of 'The Chronicle of the Foundation of Vale Royal Abbey and the Lives of the First Four Abbots, Written by the Fifth Abbot, and Never Before Published.'. Item #79412
