The Pila Nguru, or, Spinifex People are an Aboriginal people of Western Australia whose lands extend to the border of South Australia. The centre of their homeland is Tjuntjunjarra in the Great Victoria Desert . This forty-seven page catalogue illustrates a series of 10 large canvas paintings depicting the traditional stories plus two additional paintings (one painted by the women and the other by the men) documenting the cultural heritage of the people and the claim area at the centre of the 'Spinifex Land Agreement'. This exhibition catalouge includes a chapter "Born in Spinifex" which shows a small sketch map titled "Map of Spinifex Country Birthplaces makes a clear link between People and Country".
