"Gill Hunt" was a house name used by the publisher for several science fiction authors (John Brunner, David Arthur Griffiths, Denis Hughes, John Jennison and E C Tubb.) "Zero Field" was written by Jennison. The plot involves space exploration, Antarctica, and a "Pluton" intending to colonise Earth. The cover illustration is by the UK artist Ray Theobald. The advertisements on the endpapers are selling "Joan the Wad", the "lucky Cornish piskey", and the colour advertisement on the rear wrap is selling "Glama the Oriental Charm of Luck and Love" Item #105872
