Issued here in Easton Press collector's edition in the Greatest Books Ever Written series, first thus. In the specially commissioned edition, Clifford Fadiman writes: "Moby Dick is America's most un-parochial great book [...] It is conceived, from first to last, on a grand scale, it shakes hands with prairie seas and great distances, it invades with its conquistador prose "the remotest secret drawers and lockers of the world."" .
