Four related scientific papers bound together in one volume, pp.199, map of Australia titled "Eyrean Sub-Region". Rebound in green cloth boards with "Australian Zoology" stamped in gilt to spine. Previous owner's signature of Zoologist, Bert Main. Top edge of title page of first paper clipped. One page (page 100) in the G.E. Nichholls paper has chips to the corners and tape repairs on the facing page. Overall in very good condition.
The contents are:"The Fauna of south western Australia" by Dr. W. Michaelsen, reprinted from Journal of the West Australian Natural History Society, no. 5, July 1908; " The Zoology of south western Australia" by G.E. Nicholls, L. Glauert, and J. Clark, an extract from "Science in Western Australia", Perth, August 1926; " The Composition and Biographical Relations of the Fauna of Western Australia", an address by G.E. Nicholls, from the report of the Australia and New Zealand Association for the Advancement of Science, vol. XXI [1930s]; "Summary of the Zoological, Botanical, and Geological Results of the Expedition" (Horn Expedition) by Baldwin Spencer. The Baldwin Spencer paper is a later copy, the rest are original offprints or extracts. Item #105737
