Octavo,7th ed., later half-leather binding with red leather gilt title label ("Walton's Angler"), gilt rules, engraved half-title page and engraved frontis plate of Izaak Walton, Charles Cotton, and Sir John Hawkins by Philip Audinet, with facsimile Walton signature, b&w plates and woodcuts through text, some foxing to edges of plates, pp 512. Previous owner's contemporary signature to upper title-page. Top corner bumped. Very good condition.
A celebration and philosophy of fishing, with a second part added by Walton's friend and fellow angler Charles Cotton, and a biography and notes by the author Sir John Hawkins. Item #104424
