Philadelphia: Academy of the New Church, 1904. Octavo, original red cloth bards with gilt (partial) title on spine and on upper board, pp 194. Gilt to spine dulled, gilt to upper board very bright. Some markings to the edges of the boards, corners lighly bumped, bottom rear corner rubbed. Some spotting rear endpaper, occasional very light spots in text, in general text very clean. Very good condition.

The official rules, with theological justificatioons, for the congregation of the New Church regarding conjugial love (married, approved), and sculatatory love and pellicacy (lewd, condemned). "The Academy of the New Church" was founded in Philadelphia in 1876. While still following Swedenborgian teachings, it split from the General Convention. Item #104323
