Philadelphia: American Entomological Society, 1943. Two volumes, original printed stapled wraps, b&w illus, pp iv, 44; iv, 44. Previous owner's signature top edge of front wrap both parts. Part II has been hole-punched for a ring binder to the pages (though not the wraps). Some marking to the inner edge of Part I, otherwise both parts very clean. Near-fine condition.
Descriptions and illustrations of types of mosquito, primarily to aid malaria control. The authors were in the US Army, as part of the Sanitary Corps.. Part I: The Nearctic Anopheles, important Malaria Vectors of the Americas and Aëdes aegypti, Culex quinquefasciatus. Part II: Eighteen Old World Anophelines important to malaria. Item #104267
