N.d., c. 1890. Pages toned. Some rubbing to boards, small light mark edge of spine, corners bumped. Very good condition.

"This book is supposed to be a perfect facsimile of the one used by Napoleon, and consulted by him on every important occasion." (Preface). Fortune-telling, astrology, chiromancy, celestial palmistry, physiognomy, charms and ceremonies, dice, cards, dreams and thir interpretations, etc. "Napoleon's Book of Fate" was first published in 1822 and sometimes attributed to 'Herman Kirchenhoffer' [i.e. William Henry Ireland, the poet, writer and forger of would-be Shakespearean manuscripts].
