Account of gold mining in the Klondyke, by an author who spent nearly four years in the goldfields of the north-west, with photographs and illustrations. Includes reports by William Ogivie, the explorer, surveyor, and commisioner of Yukon. With interesting advertisements (some with engraved illustrations) targeted to prospective goldminers (including ad for map of the Western Australian goldfields). With photographs of gold nuggets, towns, glaciers, dog teams, winter costume, etc., and illustrations of mining techniques.
