1872 facsimile edition of Schmidt's 1696 translation into Latin of the Bible, with the (facsimile) manuscript annotations of Emanuel Swedenborg in the margins and the Praefatiuncula Editoris (London, 1872). Sebastian Schmidt (1617-1696) was a Lutheran theologian: he spent forty years working on a complete translation. In his preface (in Latin), the editor draws attention to the importance of the annotations by Swedenborg in this copy. Later bookplate (1907) of Claude Toby. Originally from the library of author and translator of several of Swedenborg's works with his signature, Isaiah Tansley.
