Rachel, Lady Russell c.1636 - 1723) was an English noblewoman, heiress, and author. Her second husband was William, Lord Russell, who was implicated in the Rye House Plot to assassinate King Charles II and later executed. She was an avid letter-writer and a collection of her letters was first published in 1773. Item #100237
