Pierre Bernard Milius (1773-1829) lieutenant and second in command of the Naturaliste on the Baudin / Freycinet Expedition was given command of the Géographe at Île de France (Mauritius) for the remainder of the journey back to France following the death of Nicolas Baudin. The manuscript journal of Milius is held in the Kerry Stokes Collection, Perth. This is the first time the journal has been translated and published into English. Item #95748
