The 'Father Christmas Letters' were written by Tolkien to his children between 1920 and 1943, but not published until 1976, on the third anniversary of Tolkien's death. They feature Tolkien's own charming illustrations, and are told either from the point of view of Father Christmas or his elvish secretary. They document the adventures and misadventures of Father Christmas and his helpers, including the North Polar Bear. Item #100555
